The Azad Kashmir High Court on Friday has approved bail for renowned poet and journalist Ahmed Farhad, setting the bond at Rs 2 lakh. Farhad had been missing from Islamabad since May, prompting his wife, Urooj Zainab, to file a petition in the Islamabad High Court. Following the petition, the Azad Kashmir police confirmed his arrest. Subsequently, the federal government announced on May 29 that Farhad had been detained in Islamabad, 15 days after he was first reported missing. This development marks a significant turn in the case that has drawn widespread attention and concern across the region.
