Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has initiated a three-day educational workshop on “Creation of Effective Digital Content” insights from top creators of Japan and Pakistan.” The workshop aims to explore innovative practices and techniques used by top creators from both countries to develop engaging educational content for platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The event is jointly organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Ministry of Education, and AIOU. The inaugural session was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr Nasir Mahmood, said a news release issued here on Tuesday. The panelists included JICA’s Deputy Chief Advisor Aabid Gul, renowned Pakistani YouTuber Hachi, digital creator Imran Ali Dina, Zulfiqar Ali Qazalbash from the Ministry of Education, and Fiza Amjad, CEO of the Atomic Energy Commission.
Addressing the ceremony, Professor Dr Nasir Mahmood highlighted the educational emergency imposed by Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif. He highlighted the collaborative efforts with the Ministry of Education, the Higher Education Commission, JICA, and other partners to enroll out-of-school children in the country’s most marginalized areas. He also noted that through collaboration with JICA, the university is providing middle tech and matric tech education to Pakistan’s underprivileged youth. JICA’s Deputy Chief Advisor, Aabid Gul, mentioned that JICA, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and AIOU, is making significant efforts to improve Pakistan’s literacy situation.
