Administration of twin cities agree to improve slaughterhouse for quality meat provisionBreaking

The administrations of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have agreed to improve facilities at slaughterhouse with an aim to provide quality meat to the residents. A meeting was held between Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa and Commissioner Rawalpindi Abdul Aamer Khattak during which various plans to address critical urban issues and enhance infrastructure in the two cities came under discussion. Need for stringent quality standards in the slaughterhouse, with monitoring to be conducted jointly by officials from Islamabad and Rawalpindi was also highlighted during the meeting. Meanwhile, the officials also agreed on joint monitoring of the Islamabad vegetable market to improve price control and ensure better service for the residents. Commissioner Rawalpindi emphasized that joint monitoring of the vegetable market will enable better price control. Other critical issues discussed included, addressing concerns related to WASA and revenue records, and eradicating polio and dengue from the twin cities.
