Actress Urooj Khan's home was attacked by a gunman on Wednesday in the Sabzazar area of Lahore, police said. According to police, the attacker, identified as Nasir Khan, opened fire at Khan's house in broad daylight. CCTV footage of the attack has been obtained by police. Khan has been receiving threats from Khan for the past few days, police said. They added that Khan wanted to establish a relationship with the actress at gunpoint. SP Iqbal Town Akhlaq Allah Tarrar and SHO Sabzazar police reached at the scene along with police personnel. Tarrar has directed the SHO Sabzazar to arrest the accused immediately.

A team has also been formed under the leadership of SDPO Sabzazar to investigate the incident. Police said that all resources, including Safe City cameras and CCTV cameras, will be used to apprehend the accused. Actress Urooj Khan has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kameena to arrest the accused as soon as possible. The incident has sent shockwaves through the Pakistani entertainment industry. Many celebrities have taken to social media to express their solidarity with Khan and condemn the attack. Police have started investigation into the case and are hopeful of making an arrest soon.
