This scandal, following the Panama and Pandora Papers, has further deepened the scrutiny on the financial dealings of Pakistan's elite. According to the disclosed information, a staggering 22,000 Pakistanis possess properties in Dubai, with an estimated total value of $12.5 billion. Hafiz Naeemur Rahman has questioned the origins of this wealth and the legality of its transfer from Pakistan to Dubai. He has demanded clarity on whether these properties were duly declared to relevant Pakistani authorities such as the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), the Election Commission, and the State Bank. Moreover, he has raised concerns about the impact of such large-scale investments abroad on the domestic economy.

The Jamaat-e-Islami leader emphasized the need for accountability, urging those implicated in the Dubai Leaks to step down from their positions of power. He asserted that such individuals pose a threat to Pakistan's investment climate and called for transparency regarding the sources of their wealth. In response to these developments, a meeting of Majlis-e-Qaima Political National Affairs has been scheduled for May 20, where Amir Jamaat-e-Islami will provide insights and outline future action plans. The gathering aims to formulate recommendations for the Central Majlis-e-Shoora, comprising members from across the country. Meanwhile, Liaquat Baloch, Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, highlighted the growing public discontent fueled by issues such as state interference in political affairs, corruption among the ruling elite, and economic hardships faced by the general populace.

He warned that unless addressed promptly, these grievances could escalate into widespread unrest and instability. The upcoming peaceful protest led by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rahman on May 16 underscores the mounting frustration over the government's agricultural policies, which have adversely impacted farmers and landowners nationwide.
