In line with the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Assistant Commissioner Tariq Shabbir paid a surprise visit to Gurdwara Sacha Sauda. The Assistant Commissioner took a detailed review of the arrangements made by the district administration to facilitate the visiting Sikh yatrees to mark their religious rituals on the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Speaking on the occasion, Tariq Shabeer directed the concerned officials to provide the best facilities to the visiting Sikh yatrees. In a statement, Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura Dr. Waqar Ali Khan said that Punjab government was utilizing all available resources to protect the rights of religious minorities. He said that the message of harmony and peaceful coexistence was very deep in both Islam and Sikhism. The Deputy Commissioner said that it was the responsibility of the district administration to take special care of the Sikh yatrees arriving from all over the world and provide them with all basic facilities.
