Five people were killed and thirteen other injured in a blast near a Balochistan Constabulary van on a bridge in an area bordering the Kachhi and Sibi districts in Bolan on Monday. According to media reports, Kachhi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mehmood Notezai confirmed the casualties. He said the injured persons are being moved to the hospital, while bomb disposal squads and security personnel have arrived at the site. The area has been cordoned off.

Police said the vehicle of the Balochsitan Constabulary was targeted near Kinbarri bridge, adding that injured officials were being shifted to hospital for treatment. Security forces have surrounded the area to collect evidence from the site.Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has expressed deep sorrow over loss of lives in the attack. He sought report from the authorities concerned. He said whole nation was stood with the security forces in fight against terrorism. Expressing condolence with families of the martyred officials, he prayed for speedy recovery of those injured in the attack.
