35 MNAs submit affidavits to ECP expressing their allegiance to PTIBreaking

Following the Supreme Court’s (SC) decision to allot reserved seats to the PTI, as many as 35 party members of the National Assembly (MNAs) have so far submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) their affidavits of allegiance to the party. Sources told that the party’s nine members of the provincial assembly (MPAs) from Sindh and over 100 MPAs from Punjab too had submitted their affidavits. They further disclosed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Omar Ayub Khan and Ali Asghar were yet to submit their affidavits. On the other hand, 92 PTI MPAs in the KP Assembly have so far signed their affidavits. The PTI will get 21 seats reserved for women and three seats for women. The JUI-F and the PML-N had already been allotted one seat each in the assembly, while the PTI-P, PPP and ANP were not entitled to these seats, they added.
