As many as 33 terrorists belonging to different outlawed organizations including Daesh and Al-Qaeda were arrested in intelligence-based operations launched by Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in different cities across Punjab. According to CTD officials, six terrorists including a key Al-Qaeda member were arrested from Lahore. Three of them were identified as Bakht Jamal, Hamza Ayatullah and Faisal. These terrorists had hatched plans to carry out terrorist acts and had also completed recce of sensitive locations in the provincial capital. The CTD officials said these terrorists were following agenda of outlawed groups in different cities of Punjab. The CTD personnel seized explosive material, weapons, hand-grenades and cash from the detained terrorists. The CTD officials said cases have been lodged against the terror suspects and the investigation has been set into motion.
