Punjab Food Authority officials wasted 250 liters of adulterated soda water drinks in Jalalpur. During operations conducted on Shujaatpur Road and in Naqshbandia Mohalla, the authority targeted manufacturers of non-standard drinks. Along with seizing and destroying the adulterated sodas, officials imposed fines of Rs. 15,000 each on the violators. DG Food Authority Mohammad Asim Javed revealed that artificial flavors were being used in these drinks, which were intended for sale at market drink corners. The food safety teams confirmed the adulteration and took immediate action to dispose of the unhealthy beverages. Javed warned that the consumption of such non-standard drinks could lead to stomach and abdominal illnesses. He emphasized that the inspection of food points across Punjab is ongoing to combat adulteration and ensure public health.
