The promotion process in Punjab Police is continuing at a fast pace, with 24 stenographers promoted to the rank of senior scale stenographer. According to a Punjab Police spokesperson a meeting of the Promotion board was held under the chairmanship of DIG Establishment-II Captain (retd) Liaqat Ali Malik, during which cases were reviewed in accordance with the prescribed rules and merit criteria. 

The spokesperson said that 24 stenographers, who fulfilled the eligibility requirements, were approved for promotion. AIG Admin and Security Asad Ejaz Malhi has issued the formal promotion notifications. Congratulating the promoted officers, IGP Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar directed them to continue performing their duties with greater dedication, integrity and professional commitment. 

The promoted officers are Tanveer Rashid, Muhammad Faisal Shahzad, Muhammad Ahmad, Ali Gohar, Safdar Ali, Muhammad Imran, Yaseen Bashir, Abdul Rehman, Abdul Rasheed, Mehboob Alam, Tariq Mahmood, Muhammad Shakoor, Muhammad Kashif, Muhammad Javed, Mohsin Raza, Azeem Sarwar, Zahid Ahmad Khan, Zeeshan Ali, Muhammad Adnan, Sajid Ali, Saddam Hussain Shah, Shahid Rasool, Waheed Ahmad and Muhammad Usman.
