In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, more than 150,000 children have dropped out of school in the last five years. In Kohistan, 80 percent of children's education discontinued their education. As per data, out of 571,000 students enrolled in 2017, only four lakhs reached the fifth class. 29 percent of students dropped out by fifth grade over five years while 37 percent of girls and 22 percent of boys dropped out of school before fifth grade.
