October 26, 2023

Caretaker provincial Interior Minister Mir Zubair Ahmad Jamali has announced that a comprehensive plan has been put in place to deal with illegal immigrants in Balochistan, with action to be taken against those who remain in the country illegally from November 1. Jamali, who was speaking at a press conference in Quetta on Thursday, said that illegal immigrants from all countries should leave Pakistan before November 1, and that the government would provide them with all possible assistance to do so.

He added that the government would be working with NADRA to track down and deport illegal immigrants, and that geo-fencing would also be used to monitor their movements. Jamali said that 14,000 illegal immigrants had already voluntarily returned to their home countries from Balochistan. He also said that improving the peace and order situation in Balochistan was the government's top priority, and that foolproof security had been provided for BNP Mangal's long march from Wadh.
