More than 120 lady teachers were suspended in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for not attending training sessions for upcoming general elections, reported on Thursday. Overall 133,048 presiding and senior assistant presiding officers’ were being trained in 125 training centres of the province. Training of 27,600 teachers was completed. Provincial Election Commission, taking notice of the reports, has directed action against the absentees. Kurram district women education department in a notification said it has suspended 97 female teachers for not appearing in the training session. Likewise 26 absent female teachers from Peshawar city were also issued notices, with the competent authority asking them to submit their replies within three days.
