Security forces killed 11 Indian-sponsored terrorists during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Kharan and Washuk districts of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Wednesday.According to the military’s media wing, on September 6, 2026, terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan attempted to establish a roadblock in Kharan and disrupt local traffic. Security forces promptly intercepted and engaged the terrorists, killing eight of them, the ISPR said.

In another engagement on September 7, security forces conducted a planned intelligence-based operation in Washuk district following reports of the presence of terrorists.During the operation, troops effectively targeted a terrorist hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, three terrorists were killed, according to the ISPR. Security forces also recovered 2.9 tonnes of explosives that were being used to prepare improvised explosive devices (IEDs), the statement said.

The ISPR said sanitisation operations were being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists found in the area.The military’s media wing said the relentless counterterrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, would continue at full pace. The campaign aims to eliminate the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country, the statement added.
