The police have arrested 286 members of 11 criminal gangs besides recovering large quantity of drugs and illegal weapons from their possession during separate actions in different areas of Pakpattan. According to District Police Office (DPO) Pakpattan, Capt (Retd) Tariq Waliyat, the police have intensified the actions against street criminals and made recovery of valuables worth 35 million rupees. He said that 182 drug pushers were apprehended with 117 charras, 1798 litres liquor and sealed six functional breweries.  The DPO further stated that 104 people were arrested over possession of illegal weapons and heavy automated arms for their possession. DPO Tariq Waliyat said that the nabbed criminals were being investigated after registering separate cases against them at respective police stations.
