MAKKAH: The President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque, Sheikh Dr Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais issued a statement ahead of the occasion on Hajj. He urged pilgrims to devote themselves fully to performing the rituals of Hajj and worship and to avoid political slogans, fanaticism and sectarian differences, warning that “slogans have no place in the holy places.” The General President said that the pilgrimage is a pure worship of Al-Mighty Allah and is not a field for political slogans or sectarian strife.

The General President continued, saying, 'The security system is ready with all its trained human energies and modern technical capabilities to serve the pilgrims, and to confront what may disturb the serenity of the guests of Rahman, sensing the sanctity of space and time, and aware of the great responsibility in performing their duty and national responsibilities.'The General Presidency announced the largest number of worshipers today for Friday prayers after the pandemic.The holy sites reached 1.2 million worshipers in the Two Holy Mosques, amid an integrated system of standard services and operational excellence
