Al-Sudais: Crowd management in Two Holy Mosques according to a global approach for 4th Friday of RamadanBreaking

The last ten days of Ramadan entered its climax with the mobilization of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, the full operational capacity of the Third expansion of the Grand Mosque for worshippers, the external squares, and the expansion of King Fahd, to accommodate the millions of worshipers, Umrah performers, and those who intend to pray the fourth Friday of Ramadan. The General President of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, confirmed readiness for the fourth Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan . The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is working to activate the Presidency’s plans to make the best use of the expansion building and the northern squares, and to exploit the large and sufficient spaces they contain to accommodate the numbers of worshipers from multiple and separate prayer halls, equipped with all field services;

To facilitate the movement of those coming to the northern expansion with ease and ease, amid an integrated work system through an operations room to follow up the process of managing crowds and convoys and the system of operational services according to governance and measuring impact and providing standard services of international quality and readiness in an atmosphere of humble faith, healthy and safe.

 Al-Sudais: Readiness and preparedness

The General President of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, confirmed readiness for the fourth Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan, according to the scenarios and plans drawn up by all agencies that were fully prepared with human forces to enable the pilgrims to perform their worship with ease. This aims to ensure a smooth movement of worshipers and the absence of human masses that impede movement at the main doors and eventually in the external paths of the Holy Mosque squares to ensure that there are no bottlenecks and a large flow of crowds from all doors and reduce congestion in the lower floors of the Grand Mosque to serve millions of pilgrims, pilgrims, and worshipers for the fourth Friday of Ramadan, who are expected to reach more than two million worshipers.

Al-Sudais: Implementation of the plan pillars

 The General President of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais affirmed the highest readiness in accordance with the pillars of the operational plan, which includes intensifying human and technical services in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, raising the full capacity and preserving the safety, health and security of those who visit the Two Holy Mosques.

Evaluation of operational plans The General President said it is ready to receive crowds of millions and evaluate the performance of the operational plans in real time. Also, the Presidency is ready to implement the alternative scenarios in coordination with the security system in the Grand Mosque to achieve the goals and provide a safe and sound devotional environment to enable the guests of Rahman to perform their worship with ease.

22 million worshipers in the two-thirds

The General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Al-Sudais, announced that the total number of worshipers reached more than 22 million male and female worshipers, during the first two-thirds of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year.

Smooth flow of worshipers

The flow of worshipers towards the courtyards of the Grand Mosque began smoothly since the dawn of Thursday, to perform Friday prayers in a spiritual devotional atmosphere, despite the density of their numbers, amid a system of integrated services provided by the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques, and a high flow in managing the crowds of millions of worshipers.

Recognize success partners

The various departments and agencies involved in serving the guests of Rahman were in tune with opening the courtyards of the Grand Mosque at full capacity, which greatly contributed to facilitating the pilgrims of the Two Holy Mosques to perform their rituals with ease. The Presidency under directives of the General President of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, prepared all the halls of the Grand Mosque, the courtyard of the Mataf, and the squares, and made them ready according to a governed operational plan and a mechanism to support the worshipers and pilgrims inside and outside the Grand Mosque in the squares and facilitate the process of entering the pilgrims and worshipers from the entrances, corridors and chapels, directing the pilgrims to the Mataf.

Real-time follow-up

The Presidency followed up around the clock on the smooth movement of the Grand Mosque, and supervised all sites, starting with the squares and expansions, inside the courtyard and the passages leading to it. It monitored and followed up on all observations and negatives that might hinder the movement of the crowds, following them up, analyzing and classifying them, and searching for solutions to them. And a number of pilgrims who flocked in large numbers since dawn yesterday confirmed that the careful organization of the Tawaf and Crowds Department headed by the Two Holy Mosques, in coordination with the security system, achieved great success in organizing on the night of the twenty-third in a safe and healthy devotional atmosphere.

The integrated services provided by the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques and a high flow in managing the crowds of millions of worshipers in accordance with the highest international quality service standards, and work to provide a devotional environment that provides the finest services to those who visit the Two Holy Mosques, as well as disinfection, sterilization and cleaning services around the clock.

Increasing the carrying capacity

 The Presidency raised its human, service, operational and technical energies to achieve a full flow on the night of the 23rd of Ramadan, as the worshipers performed the Maghrib and Isha prayers in an atmosphere of faith, and the number of worshipers reached about two million. The Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque were equipped with doors in front of the worshipers, to perform the fourth Friday prayer of the month of Ramadan, amidst a great crowd of efforts from those in charge of the Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques at the level of providing services to worshipers and Umrah performers.

Disinfection and sterilization

Also, the General Presidency cleared and sterilized all security barriers in the Grand Mosque, using disinfectants, sterilizers, and fresheners, to receive worshipers during Friday prayers. The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque provided an integrated system of services in receiving millions of people, and all sites were equipped for pilgrims, worshipers, and visitors according to an integrated work system. The services of the beneficiaries included awareness services through the educational centers with their interactive devices and qualified staff in providing educational services and implementing their approved programs for the blessed month of Ramadan, equipped with guidance and educational services in international languages.
