Turkish Language Summer Camp 2026 concludedBreaking

 Closing ceremony of Turkish Language Summer Camp 2026 held in collaboration between Allama Iqbal Open University Lahore and Yunus Emre Institute Pakistan. It was held today at the AIOU Regional Campus Lahore. The ceremony was attended by a large number of students, parents, teachers, and distinguished guests.


Among the distinguished guests were Mr. Mehmet Emin Şimşek, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Lahore; Mr. Eren Miyasoğlu, Country Director of Yunus Emre Institute Pakistan; Dr. Zahid Majeed, Director, Director International Collaborations, Allama Iqbal Open University; and Dr. Uzma Tariq, Deputy Regional Director, Allama Iqbal Open University Regional Campus Lahore. Mr. Mehmet Emin Şimşek, Consul General of Türkiye in Lahore, remarked that educational and cultural exchanges further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries while creating new opportunities for young people.

Mr. Mehmet shared his plan to extend such people to people activities in other cities of Punjab through Yunus Emre Institute, Pakistan and AIOU with full support of Consulate genral, Lahore.

He appreciated the efforts of Allama Iqbal Open University and Yunus Emre Institute in successfully organizing the program.

In her welcome address, Dr. Uzma Tariq warmly welcomed the guests, parents, and students. She stated that Allama Iqbal Open University remains committed to organizing meaningful academic, cultural, and personality development programs to enhance students' knowledge, skills, and overall development.

She also expressed her sincere appreciation to Yunus Emre Institute Pakistan for its valuable collaboration in making the Summer Camp a success.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Eren Miyasoğlu appreciated the strong fraternal relations between Pakistan and Türkiye and emphasized that bringing young people closer through language and culture is one of the key missions of Yunus Emre Institute.

He also commended the students for their enthusiastic participation and keen interest throughout the Summer Camp.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Zahid Majeed highlighted the significance of international educational and cultural activities in promoting students' personality development, global awareness, and mutual respect among diverse cultures.

He reaffirmed that Allama Iqbal Open University remains committed to collaborating with international institutions in organizing similar beneficial and meaningful programs in the future.

Dr. Zahid thanked and acknowledged the efforts and contributions of Prof. Dr. Halil Toker founder Country Director Yunus Emre Institute, Pakistan.

During the Summer Camp, students had the opportunity to learn the Turkish language and participate in a variety of cultural activities, including Ebru (Turkish marbling art), archery, Mangala, and other traditional Turkish cultural experiences.

At the closing ceremony, certificates were awarded to the successful participants, while students presented a variety of cultural performances that received enthusiastic appreciation from the audience.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, parents and participants highly appreciated the joint efforts of Allama Iqbal Open University and Yunus Emre Institute Pakistan.

They expressed the hope that similar educational and cultural programs would continue in the future, enabling the younger generation to gain greater exposure to international languages and cultures.
