Three Chinese books launched in UrduBreaking

Three books authored by Chinese writers and translated by Pakistani translators were launched here by China-Pakistan Study Center (CPSC) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI). According to Gwadar Pro, the books are “Beyond the Karakoram: A Photographic Dialogue Between a Chinese and a Pakistani Scholar”, “How the Chinese Communist Party Manages the Development Issue”, and “Mao Zedong and Contemporary China”. China’s Charge d’ Affaires to Pakistan Ms. Pang Chunxue said on the occasion that literature exchanges between China and Pakistan would play a constructive role in expanding people-to-people exchanges.

“These books translated into Urdu depict the commitments of both countries to understand each other,” she said. Director General ISSI Ambassador Sohail Mahmood in his remarks underlined that Pakistan’s relations with China were the “cornerstone” of its foreign policy. He highlighted the key features and growth trajectory of the Pakistan-China All-weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, the role of CPC in China’s socio-economic development, and the importance of further strengthening the Public Diplomacy dimension of Pakistan-China relations through such events.

Former Ambassador of Pakistan to China Naghmana Hashmi in her remarks stressed that history has always been important in understanding modern China.  It is pertinent to seek the understanding of these philosophies that China follows in its journey towards prosperity. Honorary Director of the Belt and Road (BRI) and Regional Research Center Dr. Hassan Daud Butt and senator Dr. Musaddiq Malik also attended the event.
