BEIJING (INP): Shanxi Ruiguang Heat & Power Co, Ltd is established solely by Shanxi International Energy Group (Genmeng International). During the recent visit of foreign media delegation to shanxi province, it was learnt that it operates two 300,000 kilowatt heating units and commenced power generation in 2102. The total investment for the project is approximately 3 billion Yuan, with an electricity generation capacity of around 3.3 billion kilowatt-hours and an annual heating capacity of approximately 8 million GJ. The company is located in Wujinshan Town, Yuci district, Jinzhong city and is one of primary heat source for centralized heating in Taiyuan cityand Jinzhong city.
It provides heating to approximately 24 million square meters of space , including some areas in in Taiyuan and Jinzhong city and Taiyuan Wusu airport. It is also the largest power plant in terms of heating area per kilowatt capacity among similar units in the province. In 2016, the company was awarded the title of “National Model Coal-fired power plant for energy efficiency and emission reduction” by the national energy administration”. Ruiguang Company places emphasis on technological innovation and the application of new technologies. It is committed to exploring innovation in energy conservation, consumption reduction and emission reduction.
Through the implementation of projects such as dead steam waste heat utilization, ultra low emissions transformation, carbon dioxide captures and utilization, intelligent fuel management and flexible operation of turbines for peak load regulation, it aims to generate new vitality for green and low carbon development in the thermal power industry. At the same time, Ruigang Company is exploring new drivers for the development of traditional enterprises by implementing projects such as point-to-point cooling and heating supply for Taiyuan Wusu International airport and the utilization of flue gas waste heat.
