PM to seek investment opportunities during his visit to XinjianBreaking

PM Kakar will travel to Urumqi,  Xinjiang Autonomous Region this week to meet local leaders and business representatives, with the goal of strengthening trade, investment, and people-to-people relations, China Economic Net (CEN) reported on Tuesday. The report stated, " To further strengthen regional connectivity, trade, investment and people-to-people contacts between the neighbouring regions of Pakistan and China, PM Kakar will pay a two-day visit to Urumqi, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China. In Urumqi, he will meet the local leadership and business persons, and deliver a speech at Xinjiang University. The prime minister's visit comes in the backdrop of ongoing celebrations marking the 10 years of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the flagship project of China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)." Earlier, he received a red carpet welcome when arrived Beijing on his official visit. The PM is participating in the 'Third Belt and Road Forum (BRF) for International Cooperation,' taking place in Beijing from October 17 to 18.

The premier is visiting China on the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Prime Minister's Office, in a statement, announced that PM Kakar will deliver a speech at the high-level forum themed 'Connectivity in an Open Global Economy' on October 18. During his visit to China, the Prime Minister will engage in bilateral meetings with President Xi Jinping, senior Chinese leaders, and other international dignitaries attending the Forum. He will also meet with prominent Chinese business figures with the aim of bolstering bilateral trade and investment. This visit by the Prime Minister occurs within the context of the ten-year celebrations of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which stands as a flagship project of China's Belt and Road Initiative. During his visit, the Prime Minister will underscore the significant achievements of CPEC and lay out the future priorities for the project, reaffirming Pakistan's steadfast commitment to advancing its high-quality development.
