July 09, 2026

The Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute (PCTVI), the University of Gwadar and the Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP) signed a memorandum of understanding to provide market-oriented technical and vocational training for young people in Gwadar district.

The signing ceremony was held at the BRSP head office in Quetta, according to Gwadar Pro on Thursday.

Under the agreement, 400 young men and women from Gwadar will receive demand-driven, skills-based training in a range of trades through the Government of Balochistan’s Resilience, Integration and Socio-Economic Empowerment (RISE) Programme. BRSP will fully fund the training.

The initiative aims to help participants acquire technical skills aligned with local labour-market needs and improve their employment prospects, according to officials.

The three institutions said the partnership would support the development of a skilled workforce in Gwadar and contribute to local economic development.
