KUNMING, June 24 (INP): Usman, a Pakistani internet influencer and student at Capital Normal University in Beijing took the stage at a short video creation youth workshop, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience in crafting engaging short videos in China. Pakistani The workshop, attended by 21 international professional photographers, self-media bloggers, international students, and youth from ethnic minorities in Yunnan province, China, was part of the fifth Lancang-Mekong Audio-Visual Week series titled “Z Generation” Lancang-Mekong Short Video Show. Usman has gained popularity on social media platforms for his insights into Chinese culture and daily life. His participation in the event provided valuable insights for aspiring young creators from around the world. Highlighting China’s fascinating blend of ancient traditions and modern advances in daily life, he emphasized the powerful role of short videos in capturing fleeting moments and conveying emotions that resonate with broader audience. He stressed the importance of using visual elements and storytelling techniques to engage viewers and effectively convey messages.
During the workshop, participants toured around Kunming City, Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, and Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture to capture the breathtaking beauty of China’s natural and cultural landscapes. They were also given an immersive experience in various non-heritage projects, such as Yi embroidery, World Dinosaur Valley, straw quilts, bamboo umbrellas and colorful flower rice. “I’m deeply impression by the cultural landscapes of Yunnan. I had learned much from the international creators at the workshop, and I believe that such cultural exchanges foster mutual understanding and inspire creativity and innovation”, he said. The fifth Lancang-Mekong Audio-Visual Week series consists of multiple components, including a short video sharing training session, a short video creation contest, an international youth offline creation camp, and an exhibition of outstanding awarded works. The activities, which will run from June to October, aim to promote cultural exchange and understanding between China and other countries in the Lancang-Mekong region, Gwadar Pro reported on Monday.
