Chinese Film Makers, Caretaker Federal Minister for Culture and National Heritage, Jamal Shah, celebrated the success of the collaborative venture resulting in the groundbreaking film "Batie Girl," a joint production of Pakistani and Chinese filmmakers.  The film's release in Pakistan in 2023 stands as a significant achievement in cultural cooperation between the two nations. Eight member Chinese delegation lead by Zhang Yang, chairman of Chang Jiang group is on the visit to Pakistan for exploring the joint production opportunities with Pakistani and film industry During the productive discussions, Minister Jamal Shah underscored the enduring cultural ties between Pakistan and China, highlighting the pivotal role played by the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in strengthening these connections. He reminisced about past successful collaborative efforts and cultural activities organized by both nations.

Minister Jamal Shah emphasized Pakistan's rich artistic heritage, boasting one of the largest Buddhist cultures and traditions that warmly welcome international guests. Acknowledging Pakistan's 157 cinema houses, he expressed the nation's ambition to expand its cinema industry with the support of Chinese companies.  Minister Jamal Shah extended a warm invitation for Chinese companies to contribute to the growth of both countries' film industries by establishing cinema houses in Pakistan. "We are open to exchanging ideas, fostering creativity in cinema, and inviting collaboration. Learning from Chinese experiences in film making and co-production is of great interest to us, considering the substantial success of the Chinese cinema industry," stated Minister Jamal Shah.

Zhang Yang, Chairman of Chang Jiang Group, shared insights on the vast collaboration opportunities between Pakistan and China in the entertainment industry.  He highlighted the significant global impact of China's developed film and TV industry, with several dramas and films gaining popularity in Pakistan. Yang expressed the importance of mutual cultural understanding through joint drama and production, stating, "Joint productions are crucial for fostering a deeper understanding of each other's cultures, facilitating better connections between people on both sides."

He further announced the group's interest in investing in the Pakistani drama and film industry for joint productions that showcase Pakistan's beauty and position it as a prime tourist destination. Recognizing the global impact of Pakistani dramas and movies, Yang emphasized the creation of content with a global appeal. Minister Jamal Shah welcomed this commitment from the Chinese delegation, expressing optimism for a fruitful collaboration that not only strengthens cultural ties but also presents Pakistan as an attractive destination for international filmmakers.
