Pak-China friendship celebrated, KP Police secures victory in football matchBreaking

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police delivered an outstanding performance to defeat Afghan Club Chitral 5–1, winning an exhibition football match held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Pak-China friendship.

A large number of football fans witnessed the match, waving the national flags of Pakistan and China in a tribute to the bilateral bond, Gwadar Pro reported.

Both the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and Chitral teams featured international players who displayed excellent skills; however, the KP Police, with their experienced lineup, secured a convincing victory.

Speaking to the media, Secretary of Sports and Youth Affairs Muhammad Asif noted that while celebrations for the 75th anniversary of Pak-China friendship are being held across the country, Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have taken the lead.

He credited China Window, the Chinese cultural center in Peshawar, for spearheading the initiative.

He further stated that efforts will be made to strengthen Pak-China friendship through sports, adding that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is committed to inviting Chinese teams to Peshawar and other parts of the province for future exhibition matches.

He also extended his congratulations to the people of China on the anniversary.

Director General of Sports Tashfeen Haider said the department aims to benefit from the expertise of Chinese coaches and plans to invite them to Peshawar.

He emphasized that the Pak-China friendship is everlasting and a source of pride for the people of Peshawar.

He added that this anniversary serves as an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and continuing progress in all fields.

At the conclusion of the match, officials distributed trophies, cash prizes, and special awards to the players, including the international participants.
