On the evening of September 5, Jiang Zaidong, the new ambassador to Pakistan, arrived in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, to take office. Pang Chunxue, minister of the Embassy in Pakistan, Bao Zong, counsellor, and Mosavi, deputy director of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, met at the airport. On behalf of the Pakistani government, Mousavi warmly welcomed Jiang Zaidong to his new post, saying that Pakistan and China are all-weather strategic cooperative partners and “iron” friends, and that friendship with China is the consensus of all parties and strata in Pakistan. The Pakistani side will provide all facilities for Ambassador Jiang to perform his duties and jointly promote new progress in bilateral cooperation in various fields.
