Chinese tech firm explores smart city collaboration in PakistanBreaking

A delegation from Beiming Software, a China-based technology company, has explored collaboration opportunities in smart cities and digital transformation during a visit to Pakistan, taking a new step in China–Pakistan cooperation in emerging technologies. During the visit, the company signed a strategic partnership agreement with Smart TechOne (Private) Limited, a subsidiary of Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt) Ltd (HRL Group).

According to a Gwadar Pro's report on Tuesday, the Smart TechOne is working on Pakistan’s digital transformation through projects such as Capital Smart City, Lahore Smart City, and Silicon Village. Under the agreement, the two sides plan to jointly develop and implement smart city solutions in Pakistan, with an initial focus on Capital Smart City.

The collaboration aims to introduce intelligent urban management systems, digital governance platforms, smart infrastructure, and data-driven public services to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and quality of life.

The agreement was signed in a ceremony led by Muhammad Aslam Malik, Group Chief Operating Officer of HRL Group, with representatives from Beiming Software and HRL in attendance, including Wang Jiangping, Xue Jinghui, and Khalid Taimur Akram.

In a separate development, Beiming Software also signed a partnership agreement with Smart Future Technologies (Private) Limited, another company linked to HRL’s smart city ecosystem.

The partnership will focus on the design, development, and deployment of smart city solutions nationwide, integrating technologies such as IoT, AI, cloud computing, and data analytics to improve urban management and public services.

Founded in 1998, Beiming Software Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise that uses technologies such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and blockchain to support smart city development.
