Chinese Enterprise donated relief supplies worth Rs10 million to Pakistan, Gwadar Pro reported on Monday. At the handover ceremony of flood relief materials donated by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) to Pakistan, Muhammad Khurram Agha, Federal Secretary, Ministry of Communications and Chairman of National Highway Authority, expressed heartfelt thanks to the Chinese government and Chinese enterprises for their generous assistance. “The materials donated by CSCEC are of great significance to the people in the disaster areas. The friendship between the people of China and Pakistan has a long history, and it is hoped that the relations between the two countries will constantly deepen and strengthen,” Muhammad Khurram Agha further said. The donation of Rs10 million for relief materials including tents, rice and cooking oil will be distributed among the local people affected by the floods through Pakistan National Highway Authority. Earlier, CSCEC donated Rs600,000 to the local disaster relief through the All-Pakistan Chinese Enterprises’ Association, and actively carried out rescue and relief operations, free clinics in villages and road repairs in disaster affected areas such as Sukkur.
