Islamabad, 30 September (INP): Since the disastrous floods in Pakistan, China has pledged the largest amount of help to Pakistan. This totals over 644 million RMB; approximately 90 million dollars.
Ambassador Nong Rong, the Ambassador of China to Pakistan stated that China stands with Pakistan. It is “the most reliable iron brother of Pakistan.”
The Chinese government, the military, & the Chinese Communist party, as well as the Chinese Red Cross Society along with the sister provinces & cities including Chinese enterprises and individuals, have all donated aid to the victims of the floods in Pakistan.
The Ambassador urged other countries to take concrete measures to help Pakistan in its hour of need, “instead of pointing fingers at China.” Along these lines, he stated that action is the most powerful and the truest language.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif along with Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has thanked and appreciated the timely help provided by China.
Many Ministers of the country as well as the Speaker of the National Assembly and Chairman Senate of Pakistan have lauded the efforts undertaken by China.
Earlier in a press conference, the Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of China, Wang Wenbin also reiterated China’s commitment to assist the Pakistani people in overcoming the floods and rebuilding their homes as soon as possible.
Wang Wenbin stated that since the floods struck the country, China has raced to Pakistan’s aid as a sincere friend and brother in need.
According to him, the Chinese government has donated more than $55 million in humanitarian aid, and China’s civic society has also assisted. It is pertinent to note that China and Pakistan have enjoyed excellent economic and financial relations.
