Three civilians, including a woman, were killed and several injured by an Indian Army mortar shell in Indian state Bihar. According to Kashmir Media Service, two men and a woman were killed and three, including two women, were injured when an Indian Army mortar shell fell and exploded well outside the firing range in Gularved area of Gaya district of the state, a senior police officer told media men.

Senior Superintendent of Police of Gaya, Ashish Bharti said the incident took place in Gularved village, falling under the Barachatti police station area, where six people were injured when the mortar shell fell and burst. All of them were rushed to the Anugraha Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital in the town where three of the injured villagers, including a woman, died while undergoing treatment.
