Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Israel has laid bare the duplicity in India’s foreign policy, coming simultaneously with the hosting of the Indo-Arab Summit.  Analysts say the Modi government projects versatility internationally, but its contradictory actions reveal stark hypocrisy. 

Observers note that while India claims to uphold neutrality on global conflicts, Modi’s hurried trip to Israel amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza reflects a prioritization of military and strategic interests over humanitarian principles.  Hosting Arab nations at the same time exposes India’s attempt to straddle polarized positions, undermining its credibility as a fair mediator. 

Critics argue that India’s stance deviates sharply from Gandhi’s principles of humanitarian diplomacy. By avoiding a clear position on Gaza while deepening ties with Israel, Modi’s government is accused of trading moral authority for geopolitical gains, highlighting diplomatic inconsistency and double standards.
