In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, India’s worst state terrorism victim, Insha Mushtaq, who recently qualified class 12th examination despite having lost eye-sight in 2016 pellet firing, has said that she has faced multiple challenges on her way to make herself independent in futuristic days of her life. Insha Mushtaq who hails from Shopian, in a media interview narrated her ordeal how she reached to the level of success.
“I am very happy on qualifying class 12th exams. Given to my health issues I have faced multiple challenges during the period, but I didn’t loose my courage. I stood firm and fought challenges energetically. I continued my studies and hard work which finally led me to the success,” Insha said. Insha said that she gives the credit of the success to her parents, teachers, mentors, friends and well wishers who supported her in odd times.
The 23-year-old, Insha Mushtaq, who lost her vision in both eyes due to pellet firing by Indian troops during 2016 protests, has passed her class 12th board examinations with flying colours. The results of the exam were declared on Friday and Insha Mushtaq, daughter of Mushtaq Lone of Sedow village of Shopian has secured 73 percent marks in the examination.
Insha also said that she doesn’t want to become burden on her parents and said “I want to continue my studies so that I will become independent in my life”. She also appealed to higher authorities to open special institutions for blind students and provide adequate training to them so that they will become independent in their futuristic days of life and earn livelihood in a dignified manner.
