Over 2000 kanals handed to non-locals in IIOJK, Delhi confirms Breaking

In yet another move to dispossess locals, the New Delhi-installed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s administration has handed over more than 2000 kanals of land to non-locals under the guise of investment in the internationally recognized disputed territory of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir over the past two years. According to Kashmri Media Service, this was confirmed by the IIOJK government in reply to a question raised by the PDP MLA Abdul Waheed Parra.

The government in a written reply said that 2093 kanals of land have been allotted to the non-locals at SIDCO Industrial Estate from the period of January 1, 2023 to December 12, 2024.  Sharing the details, the government said that in Kathua, 275 kanans of land have been allotted to M/s RSWM Limited, 222 kanals to M/s Grew Energy Pvt Ltd (Unit-I) and 424 kansls to M/s Grew Energy Pvt Ltd (Unit-II), at Bhagthali-I. 

At Bhagthali-II, 201 kanals of land have been allotted to M/s Advance Films Pvt Ltd, 201 kanals to M/s GreenquestAlu Foils Pvt Ltd, 201 kanals to M/s Haldiram Snacks Manufacturing Plant, 209 kanals to M/s Sintex Advances Plastic Ltd and 206 kanals to M/s Ceylon Beverages Can Pvt.  Meanwhile in Srinagar, at Medicity Semporas (gr), 30 kanals have been allotted to M/s Megna Waves Build Tech Pvt Ltd (EMAAr Group-UAE) and 100 kanals to M/s Megna Waves Buildtech Pvt Ltd (EMAAr Group UAE). 

At Exhibition Ground Jammu, 24 kanals have been allotted to he M/s Magna Waves Buildtech Pvt Ltd.  In reply to another question about the details of total area of land transferred to multiple Industrial Estates, other Public and private authorities during the last two years, the government said, in Jammu Division, 6014 kanals and 10 marlas and in Kashmir Division, 5532 kanals and 19 marlas have been allotted.
