National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah launched a blistering broadside against the Modi-led BJP regime saying that the Hindutva party is making Kashmiri Pandits “scapegoats” in order to project a false sense of normalcy in territory. Farooq Abdullah in a media interview said, the Modi regime’s “tall claims of normalcy have fallen flat. It is mere propaganda. The government is making Kashmiri Pandit employees scapegoats to project fake normalcy”.

Abdullah, who has been consistent in his criticism of the BJP regime over the uptick in civilian attacks over the past year, said, “PM Modi must call an all-party meet on this issue. Don’t make Kashmiri Pandits sacrificial lambs if you can’t provide security to them. Kashmiri Pandit employees shouldn’t be forced to return and resume duties in the Valley,” he said. Farooq Abdullah said he will raise the issue during in Indian Parliament.
