He maintained Shaheed Muhammad Maqbool Butt, Shaheed Afzal Guru and other martyrs infused a new life in Kashmir freedom struggle and they will remain the source of inspiration for the Kashmiri people. He said the struggle for freedom from Indian bondage remains alive by remembering these supreme sacrifices and that these days make our hatred towards India and its stooges more intense. The APHC Chairman said the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been resisting India’s illegal occupation of their homeland for the last over seven decades and during this period, thousands of Kashmiris have offered their precious lives for this sacred cause.

He said the blood of these martyrs will not be allowed to go waste. Masarrat Aalam Butt urged the people of IIOJK to remain steadfast in pursuance of their demand for resolution of the long-pending Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and their will. He said fascist India is ruling the Kashmiris’ land through its military might but will never be able to win their hearts.
The APHC Chairman also reiterated the Kashmiris’ demand for the return of the mortal remains of Maqbool Butt and Afzal Guru who remain buried in the notorious Tihar Jail premises. He said India is violating all the principles of morality by not handing over the mortal remains of the two martyrs to the Kashmiris, adding that New Delhi’s denial of this demand has badly exposed its claim of being the largest democracy of the world.
