Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and Hossein Ebrahim Taha, the Secretary General of the Islamic Cooperation Organization, in a telephone conversation reviewed the recent developments in the region. Referring to the current dire situation in occupied Palestine and the Gaza Strip as a result of the ongoing crimes and aggressions of the Zionist regime against the oppressed Palestinian people, Amirabdollahian called for decisive action by the international community, especially the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its member states, in confronting this regime and stopping the crimes.
Hossein Ebrahim Taha, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, also condemned the action of the Zionist regime against the Iranian embassy in Damascus and expressed hope that by stopping the aggression of the Zionist regime, stability and peace will be provided in the region. He also considered it vital to help establish a lasting ceasefire and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine and Gaza in the current situation and emphasized the continuation of efforts and exchange of views in this regard.
