The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, has said that the Modi regime and its occupation forces have accelerated their violent inhuman and state terrorism in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad said that the Indian troops were killing and arresting innocent youth during the so-called cordon and search operations and house raids in the occupied territory. He deplored that India was continuously increasing its atrocities and human rights violations in the occupied territory but it could never suppress the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiris. The sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will never go waste, he added.

The APHC-AJK chapter convener expressed concern that the Indian troops were killing innocent youth to turn the Muslim majority of IIOJK into a minority. He said India has lodged thousands of Kashmiri youth in detention centres, adding Kashmiri people should have the right to decide their future according to the United Nations resolutions so that lasting peace could be established in South Asia. Mehmood Ahmad Saghar demanded of the United Nations to take notice of the Indian atrocities in the territory and play a role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Meanwhile, APHC-AJK chapter leader Zahid Safi met Punjab Governor Baleagur Rehman in Lahore in which the governor reiterated to continue moral, political and diplomatic support to the depressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
