Indian forces arrest five youth in Srinagar Breaking

April 28, 2026

Indian forces, in a fresh act of state terrorism, arrested five youth in Srinagar city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.   According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces personnel arrested five persons in the Khanmoh area of the city under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the Arms Act.

Justifying the arrests, Indian forces claimed that two hand grenades, two magazines, some rounds of ammunition, and posters were recovered from their possession. The forces also seized their mobile phones.   Locals rejected the Indian forces' claim, saying that through continued house raids and search operations, Indian forces are arresting youth and women in fake cases to perpetuate Indian state terrorism and spread fear to weaken the Kashmiris’ stand for their political rights and azaadi.
