Indian forces arrest five Kashmiri youth in Pulwama, Shopian districts Breaking

Indian forces, in their latest act of state terrorism, have arrested five Kashmiri youth in Pulwama and Shopian districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.  According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth were arrested during a cordon-and-search operation conducted by personnel of the Indian Army’s 44 Rashtriya Rifles and the 183rd Battalion of paramilitary forces in the Rajpora area of Pulwama district. 

Indian forces also claimed to have recovered a pistol, 12 rounds of ammunition, and a hand grenade during another search operation in the general area of Yarwan forest in Pulwama district.  In Shopian, Indian forces arrested three persons identified as Junaid Ahmad, Amir Yousif, and Junaid Muzaffer during a cordon-and-search operation. Justifying the arrests, the forces claimed to have recovered two hand grenades and posters from their possession.

The forces also seized their motorcycle, bearing registration number JK18B-6130, on which they were travelling.  In another cordon-and-search operation, personnel of the Indian Army’s 52 Rashtriya Rifles, along with the 177th and 179th Battalions of paramilitary forces, claimed to have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from an abandoned house in Manzseer, Sopore, in Baramulla district.   The recovered items reportedly included one AK-47 rifle, three magazines, 72 rounds of ammunition, four hand grenades, and one improvised explosive device (IED).
