An Indian army man died in Srinagar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The army man died due to a cardiac arrest in the Pantha Chowk area of district on Tuesday. Officials said that the deceased, identified as Naik Biswas, a resident of West Bengal, was on duty at Pandrethan, Pantha Chowk when he suddenly lost consciousness due to the heart attack.
He was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.The police have initiated an investigation. Meanwhile, an improvised explosive device (IED) was found in the Habdipora area of Shopian district on Tuesday, officials said. An official said that as soon as the IED was detected, a bomb disposal squad was called in. He added that the squad is currently working to defuse the device.
