Energy crisis in India intensifies due to ongoing war in Middle East Breaking

March 31, 2026

The energy crisis in India has intensified due to the ongoing war in the Middle East and citizens are facing severe hardships due to the severe shortage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). A video, going viral on social media, shows a man worshipping a gas cylinder, which internet users are calling a unique protest and a symbol of frustration against the rising inflation and fuel unavailability in the country due to the failed policies of the Modi government.

It should be noted that India is currently facing a severe shortage of LPG as the global supply chain, especially in key shipping lanes like the Strait of Hormuz, has severely disrupted gas supplies.  Indian media say that due to the recent crisis, crores of households are struggling to obtain the basic cooking fuel, which has severely affected the lives of the common man.  Experts say that if the global supply situation does not improve soon, this energy crisis could take a more serious turn.
