Egypt: Dozens injured as horrific fire engulfs police headquartersBreaking

A massive fire broke out early Monday in a police headquarters in the Egyptian city of Ismailia, injuring at least 38 people, according to security sources. As per reports, the blaze ripped through the multistory police headquarters before dawn. The cause of the blaze is not yet known. Reportedly, the flames were contained after multiple fire trucks rushed to the scene. So far, no deaths have been reported. Authorities revealed that 12 of the injured were treated at the site, while 26 others were taken to hospitals. It was not immediately clear how many police were in the building at the time of the incident. The blaze severely damaged the building. Videos circulated on social media showed flames and black smoke pouring from the building. In 2022, there were more than 49,300 fires in Egypt which resulted in 203 deaths and injuries to 855 people.
