Violent communal clashes erupted in Dehradun’s Vikas Nagar area after a Hindu youth was killed in a dispute over irrigation water, triggering fresh tensions in Uttarakhand. According to reports, one person was killed and three others injured when a group of 30-40 people attacked in the aftermath of the water dispute. Police have detained eight suspects in connection with the violence.
