Cordon and search operations continued in different districts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Operations continued on fifth day, with intensified searches and surveillance in the Halan area of Kulgam district. While confirming the intensification in the the operations, a senior Police officer in south Kashmir said, “We have also intensified aerial surveillance in the area”. “Operation has also been launched in Shopian area,” a senior Indian army official said. “Exit and entrance points have been blocked.” “Drones have been pressed into service to locate hiding militants,” they said, adding that senior officers of Indian army, paramilitary and police personnel are supervising the operation. Meanwhile, the cordon and search operations also continued in different areas of Kupwara, Rajouri and Poonch districts.
