The severe situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir demands a serious and sustained campaign to hold India accountable for its war crimes and crimes against humanity. At a news conference in Birmingham, Raja Fahim Kayani, addressing a Kashmiri diaspora group across the world, urged the Kashmiri diaspora groups across the world to forge unity and raise their voice for settlement of the Kashmir dispute. For its part, Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, also announced month-long programs across Europe in the current month to highlight India’s crimes and its fascist actions in the UN-designated disputed territory of IIOJK.
"The disastrous situation created by the Indian military regime in IIOJK demands that the Kashmiri diaspora pull up its sleeves and intensify lobbying and diplomatic efforts in international power corridors which can force New Delhi to stop its crimes in Kashmir." Kayani, flanked by TeK UK leader Chaudhary Muhammad Luqman and TeK Birmingham President Chaudhary Ikram ul Haq, slammed India for the bogus trial and farcical conviction of Kashmiri resistance leader Muhammad Yasin Malik.
"Our Hurriyat leaders have been abducted on fake charges and India can go to any extent to satisfy its blood-thirsty conscience," said Kayani, calling on diaspora groups to form a strategy to seek the release of incarcerated Kashmiri resistance leaders, including All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Masarat Alam Butt, Yasin Malik, Shabir Shah, Aasiya Andrabi, Nahida Nasreen, Fehmeeda Sofi, Peer Saifullah, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtoo, and Nayeem Khan.On the occasion of the release of Kashmiri resistance leaders and activists, Kayani on the occasion released a calendar of various activities of Tehreek-e-Kashmir, UK, to be held in June.
