The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged the world community to take notice as the Indian BJP government has usurped all basic rights, including the right to life, of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said India has turned the occupied territory into a hell for its inhabitants where the Indian BJP regime, along with the armed forces establishment, are committing killings, arrests, torture, attachment of properties, molestation of women, and other heinous crimes with impunity under draconian laws on a daily basis.

He pointed out that in a bid to hide its crimes and mislead world opinion about the situation in IIOJK, the BJP regime is planning to change the demography of Kashmir through its new scheduled census and delimitation in IIOJK. The spokesman urged the international community to shun its silence and hold India accountable for its brutalities on innocent Kashmiris.

The APHC spokesman, expressing serious concern over the free hand given by the New Delhi-installed LG administration to Hindutva terrorists in the territory, condemned the killing of a Muslim youth in Ramban and the arrest of students by Indian forces during house raids in Sopore.

The statement said India is violating international laws and agreements by depriving the Kashmiris of their fundamental rights. “August 5, 2019 illegal moves by the Indian BJP government have further exposed India’s disregard for democratic norms in IIOJK. The BJP regime is using brute force against the Kashmiris to suppress their freedom movement. India’s denial of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination is a violation of the UN charter,” he said.
