Criticism Continues as Nida Yasir and Saba Faisal Face Ongoing Public Backlash: Latest remarks from Fiza Ali and Alizeh ShahBreaking

December 18, 2025

Over the past few days, two senior media personalities made remarks on live television that ignited intense backlash across social media, once again highlighting how powerful words can be in the public eye.

The first controversy began on a live morning show hosted by Nida Yasir. During a discussion, she stated that delivery riders often do not bring change with them and that this has become a habit through which they end up taking extra money. She added that she personally does not give extra money and, if change is unavailable, asks her driver to go and get it.

This statement did not sit well with viewers. Social media users strongly criticized her, pointing out that delivery riders work tirelessly in all kinds of weather, ensuring food reaches people right at their doorsteps. Many felt her comments were insensitive and unfair to a community whose job is already physically demanding and underappreciated. The criticism grew so intense that Foodpanda employees publicly demanded an apology from her on a live show.

Eventually, Nida Yasir addressed the issue, apologized publicly, and clarified that she should not have generalized. She acknowledged that not all delivery riders behave the same way and admitted her wording was wrong.

Soon after, another debate erupted when Saba Faisal, speaking on a live show, said that girls should not be given complete freedom to make decisions according to their own will. She went on to say that the biggest mistake a groom’s mother makes is telling a bride, “Buy clothes of your own choice,” as, according to her, this gives the girl too much autonomy.

This statement also caused an uproar. Many voices within Pakistani media and the public openly disagreed, calling her opinion outdated and problematic, especially in a time when women’s independence is already a sensitive issue.

Amid all this, Fiza Ali released a video stating that she cannot stay silent when something is wrong. Without naming anyone directly, she appeared to target both Nida Yasir and Saba Faisal. She emphasized that anyone who looks down upon hardworking people deserves to be corrected, reminding viewers that those individuals are earning halal rizq. She also addressed the idea of “staying quiet to save a home,” firmly stating that homes are built on respect, not silence.

Adding fuel to the fire, Alizeh Shah shared an Instagram story saying she was “very happy” with whatever was happening to Nida Yasir and Saba Faisal. The internet quickly reacted to what many called her boldness, as she openly called out two major industry figures without holding back.

Morally speaking, Alizeh Shah had every right to express her opinion. Strategically, however, it may not have been the smartest move if her goal was to avoid further criticism or controversy.

So the question remains: Was it right?
Perhaps yes in principle—but in the world of media, where every word is magnified, timing and tone often matter just as much as truth.
