Controversy Continues: Samiya Hijab’s Latest Videos Spark Criticism and DebateBreaking

November 27, 2025

Social media personality Samiya Hijab has once again become the centre of online discussion after sharing a new dance video on Tuesday. The clip — showing her dancing to Talwiinder’s track “Pal Pal” in a TV lounge — spread rapidly across social media and triggered another wave of criticism.

In the caption, Samiya wrote: “Life when nobody’s son is ruining your mental health.” Although the post gathered thousands of interactions, many viewers disappointed of her dance style and outfit. Some labelled the video “controversial,” while others argued that her clothing was inappropriate. The backlash led Samiya to turn off the comment section shortly after posting.

After the kidnapping and harassment incident involving Samiya Hijab in Islamabad, many people came forward to support her and express sympathy. The case took a new turn when Samiya decided to reach an out-of-court settlement. She released a statement saying she had forgiven the accused, Hassan Zahid, after receiving an apology from his family, and agreed to resolve the matter privately rather than continue the legal proceedings.

However, in recent weeks, some of Samiya’s videos have deeply disappointed many of her fans and supporters, resulting in significant backlash. Despite the growing negativity, Samiya continued to post content and uploaded another dance video the very next day.

Her second video also drew heavy criticism, with users leaving harsh remarks — including comments questioning her faith, such as “What kind of Muslim are you?” One person commented: “Please don’t post this kind of stuff on social media.” Unlike her earlier post, this time she chose to keep the comments section open, allowing the debate to unfold openly.

Some supporters stepped forward in her defence. arguing that the criticism reflects societal attitudes in Pakistan rather than Samiya’s actions. One user wrote: “Most people hate her simply because she’s independent. They can’t stand seeing someone live life on her own terms.”

The ongoing reaction to Samiya Hijab’s posts illustrates the constant scrutiny influencers face in Pakistan’s digital space. Her situation highlights the clash between personal expression and public judgment, showing how challenging it can be for online creators to balance freedom, criticism, and cultural expectations.
