NEW YORK, Feb. 4 (Xinhua) -- China and its people's fight against the novel coronavirus was met with different reactions on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and others.

In their comments, some people doubted, misled by fallacies or conspiracy theories; Some are angry, afraid of a global infection surge; Some are panic, reckless in discriminatory and hateful words and deeds.

Nevertheless, more and more people are showing great kindness to the nations and the peoples that suffered in the crisis, especially China, which is at center of the virus outbreak and has reported 20,438 confirmed cases and 425 deaths by the end of Monday.

Among thousands of kind and touching words, the following are some that we would like to share with you:
